Do you remember the first time you took an improv class and you had that moment when you connected with a stranger in a new way and thought, 'this is crazy, hilarious and fun?'
Improv did that for me about 4 years ago, and I too was hooked!
2014 was a 'year of performance' for me when Columbus Unscripted's newly formed all-female production, "Sassy Do!" began performing regular shows. Being on stage with such an amazing group of talented, selfless ladies has been nothing but high-energy fun!
Prior to joining the cast of "Sassy Do!", I took improv classes--from beginner to advance--while living in London, England with an outfit called, "Imprology", led by a French improv teacher named Remy Bertrand. It was through these classes that I first learned the pillars of good improv: letting go of ego, listening, and giving gifts. Did I mention that I was hooked?
Off stage I earned a journalism degree in 2002, worked as a newspaper journalist, in academic publishing then most recently at The Ohio State University. Now I am raising a small human baby from my home! Babies are great improvisers - everything matters and it's all for play!
